Andres represented NSLAC in the 200m hurdles, 100m sprint, 90m hurdles and 200m sprint in the U14 age group.
Results: Gold in 200m hurdles; Silver in 100m sprint; Silver in 90m hurdles and 5th in 200m sprint.

Andres took nearly 1 second off his PB and won easily.

U14 Boys 100m sprint
Andres cruised through his heat to finish 2nd and automatically qualify 6th fastest for the final. He ran a brilliant final to equal his PB, but into a strong headwind (-2.8!), which is effectively a new PB – and take the Silver medal.

U14 Boys 90m hurdles 76cm
Andres had an easy win in his heat in a new PB time to qualify 2nd fastest for the final. His final was an extremely close race, with Andres getting beaten by only 0.06 and so getting Silver but with a great new PB into a strong headwind.

U14 Boys 200m sprint
Andres ran a controlled run in his heat to finish 2nd and automatically qualify 4th fastest for the final. The final was a great race, with multiple boys setting good PBs into a strong head wind including Andres. He finished in 5th place with a new PB of 24.16 – getting closer to that sub-24 run he’s been aiming for.
