U15 Men 200m sprint
After developing tendonitis in his foot, Andres decided to withdraw from the 200m sprint event.
U15 Men 200m hurdles (76cm x 10)
Andres finished strongly to win his heat and qualified 4th fastest for the final. In a dramatic turn of events, he was disqualified for his trailing leg falling below the plane of the hurdle (2nd hurdle). The NSW team management assisted us in lodging an appeal and I was able to use my video camera footage to demonstrate to the head official that there was no infringement and Andres was reinstated to the final. Unfortunately, his tendonitis flared up again while warming up for the final and he was forced to pull out.
