Little Athletics NSW 2022-23 State Championships – Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre; 18-19 Mar 2023
Andres represented NSLAC in the 300m hurdles, 100m sprint, 100m hurdles and 200m sprint in the U15 age group.
Results: Gold in 300m hurdles; Silver in 100m hurdles; 5th in 100m sprint; DNS 200m sprint.
Due to concerns about ongoing injuries, Andres decided not to compete in the 200m sprint.
U15 Boys 300m hurdles (76cm x 5 flight)
Andres ran a well controlled race, finishing strongly and taking a full 3 seconds off his PB. He was really happy with his race.

U15 Boys 100m sprint
Andres came 2nd in his heat and qualified 5th fastest for the final. He came 5th overall – a bit disappointed with his time, but still decent given the strong head winds on the day and his disrupted preparation due to injury.

Andres cruised through his heat, winning easily and qualifying 2nd fastest for the final. Andres ran really well in the final to set a huge new PB and win the silver medal. The winner broke the Little Athletics NSW State Record and the Little Athletics Australian record!
