14yo Boys 4x100m relay
In the lead up to the CHS championships, the boys continued to work hard on their technique – regularly joining Andres before school for a training session. He took starting blocks and relay batons and coached them on starts, changeovers and general sprinting technique. The boys easily won their heat in a new team best time and then went on to win the silver medal with yet another team PB. Their efforts and commitment to the team showed in their superb runs and they all did themselves very proud.
|Heat||47.60 (NWI)||1st place; 2nd fastest qualifiers|
|Final||47.32 (NWI)||Silver medal|
14yo Boys 200m sprint
Andres ran a great time in the 200m heat to set a new PB in his first sub-24 second run. He came 2nd in his heat and was 4th fastest qualifier for the final. The final saw him run a fantastic PB, but with a strong illegal wind assisting him. He was very happy with his run and came 4th.
|Heat||23.97 (+0.1); PB||4th fastest qualifier|
|Final||23.54 (+3.2); PB (wind assisted)||4th place|

|Final||14.23 (+0.4); PB||Gold medal|
14yo Boys 100m sprint
Andres ran a great heat to set a huge new PBm qualifying 2nd fastest for the final. In the final he ran only one one hundredth slower than the heat but was not able to keep up with the very tall runners in first and second place and so was relegated to the bronze medal place.
|Heat||11.63 (+0.1); PB||2nd fastest qualifier|
|Final||11.64 (+2.1)||Bronze medal|
